A fisherman’s dream

Fishing wharf Norway Finnmark

f/11, 1/125 sec, ISO 100

Many old fishing wharfs on the outskirts of Finnmark in Norway, like this one on Ingøya, have been converted to receive fishing tourists during the summer season.

    • Thanks a lot Randall, it was pretty awesome. When looking north from this island there is pretty much nothing between it and the north pole – well except from Spitsbergen maybe:)

    • Thanks a bunch Sue! Best time by far would be June 15th to July 15th or thereabout. But that is also when everyone else is going. I personally like August and September as it is less crowded, but weather cools down a bit during fall but I usually don’t mind.

  1. Your photos are gorgeous. I am excited to be spending more than month in Norway, Iceland and Greenland next September starting in Longyearbyen and ending in Oslo, some travel by boat and other on our own by car. I have spent much time in Norway and you have beautifully captured the incredible beauty of the region.
