Thanks a lot Sue! I love the vivid red beak and feet of the arctic tern. They are also very elegant in the air. It looks like a cutie, but I experienced it can be quite aggressive if you enter into an area your not welcome. A little bomber!
Oh you snapped this in the nick of time! Wonderful! We have a new canon eos 5 and I have zero experience with it. We are trying to learn how to snap the picture quickly. Right now it takes a couple of seconds to take it. I would’ve never been able to capture this shot at this rate. Lol http://www.thetalelighttrekkers.com

Just checking out your blog and it seems you have quite an adventure ahead of you!
Thanks Jet! Takes a bit of patience waiting for the tern to sit still for halv a second:) I fully agree with you – the are wonderful to observe. They look so elegant in the air, and watching them suddenly drop and come up with the catch is something I never get tired of.
You took the right time. An arctic stern with itch, you don’t see it every day!

Takk så mye! Synes alltid det er litt mer interessant dersom man kan fange er ‘personlig’ øyeblikk – også i fugleverdenen:)

Thank you so much Inese – I couldn’t agree more:) Not always they will pose so nicely and show their personality, but so great when they do.

I find terns difficult to photograph, and glorious to observe — a perched tern is really unique, Inger. Your words made me laugh. Great post.
