Small arctic fishing village on the island Ingøya with only 22 permanent residents. During summer however the island awakens as many choose to spend their vacation here. The island has many ‘northern most’ records as it is located at 71˚ north – it is about as far north as you can get in Europe.

The direction from which you took the picture is quite extraordinary, from above, making the village looking even smaller and almost unimportant. And than the wide sea with some small islands. Wonderful!

That is how I see it as well. We hiked up to a small mountain on the island to get a good overview. I really think how exposed this small village is to the large ocean comes out well from this angle.
