f/18, 30 sec, ISO 200
A purple evening over old Fjøløy Lighthouse.
The lighthouse was first constructed in 1849 and was only lit a few months of the year during herring fisheries in the winter. This heritage lighthouse is now automated – as most lighthouses along the Norwegian coast today.
Stunning!

First of all, your photo is gorgeous, Inger! Beyond that, I find it interesting that the lighthouse is built with such a low focal plane. Was the first one taller?

Thank you so much! What you cannot see in this photo is that the lighthouse is sitting on the edge of a cliff and there is a large drop on the back side of it.

Beautiful! The long exposure works really well to soften the sky. Clever of you to have found that puddle for the foreground!

I Love It!! I think i’ll use it as a wallpaper if you don’t mind. I’ll rather live in this lighthouse than in the other one 😁

Would be interested to know what time of evening it was.
For instance, was it after 10:00PM?
This is an amazing photo Inger.

Underbar komposition med gräsranden i bergsskrevan som leder blicken upp mot fyren. Så vackert också med fyren som speglar sig i den lilla vattensamlingen i berget.
